Dear Friend,

Another year is coming to a close and Beattie-Powers Place hasn’t been busier! This year we not only exceeded the number of events we’ve offered to the community for free, by including a 6 part poetry series, 4 sustainable gardening lectures and launching 4 lectures on historic preservation. Attendance has vastly increased and we are most often filled to capacity.  At the same time we’ve embarked on a major reconstruction of our historic porch steps, thanks to the generosity of Richard Philp, retaining their architectural character and ensuring their utility for years to come. 

Last year your support of our Angel campaign made all the difference. And this year, we’ll be earmarking some of your support for the renovation of a new space at Beattie-Powers, on the garden level across from the dining room. We’re now inspired to tackle that challenge recognizing the potential to increase the working space within the house. We envision a series of hands-on workshops for gardening and historic preservation with the renovation of this room.

You can get a glimpse of the space in the image to the right.

To be sure, we will need the continued support of our friends like you to make all this happen.
