Xiao Chen hails from China, and is in her final year at the Bard Music Conservatory, where she studies piano with Melvin Chen. She has also studied with Claude Frank, Richard Goode, Seymour Lipkin, Peter Serkin and other famed virtousi. Next Spring, she will receive her Bachelor of Music degree, as well as a B.A. in French Studies. For the Mendelssohn Piano Trio, Xiao will be joined by fellow students Yang Li and Orsolya Kadar.
