Enjoy a journey back 20,000 years to the Ice Age, guided by experts Bob and Johanna Titus, retired science professors and authors of popular articles and books about the geology of the Catskills and greater Hudson Valley. Join us for this fascinating look at how our geological past is still impacting the area today.
Reservations at
Robert Titus co-founded the Department of Geology at Hartwick College in 1975 and is a member of the Geological Society of America. He has a Ph.D in Invertebrate Paleontology, and his areas of expertise include soil science, Ordovician-age fossils and strata of the Black River Valley, glacial and surface geology and bedrock geology of the Catskills and Hudson River Valley. He is the author of a wide range of books, popular science columns, and his research appears in peer-reviewed scientific publications. He and his wife, Johanna, have authored The Catskills: A Geological Guide, The Hudson Valley in the Ice Age, and other publications.
