Friends of Beattie-Powers welcomes back Sébastien Cornut for another thrilling performance. Mr. Cornut is a graduate of the Paris Conservatory, where he received First Prize in Piano and Chamber Music. He has also studied under Aldo Ciccolini and at at the Salzburg Mozarteum with Dmitri Bashkirov. Mr. Cornut has performed solo recitals, chamber music concerts and concerts with orchestras in
France, the US, Lebanon and the Ukraine. He has participated in international competitions such as the
Casella competition, the Concours International de Brest, the Gina Bachauer competition and the Virginia
Waring competition. In New York he has played at the Juilliard School, Trinity Church, the New York
Public Library and the Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Cornut also holds a Masters Degree in Musicology
from the Université de Paris – Sorbonne and the degree of Doctor of Musical
Arts at Eastman School of Music, where he has also taught.
