Another thrilling evening spent with Dawn Upshaw and her "generation next" of vocal stars
This weekend we welcomed back Graduate Students from the Bard College conservatory's Vocal Arts Program, under the tutelage of famed soprano Dawn Upshaw. It was an evening of brilliant voices raised in song – Lieder, to be precise – followed by a lively reception with the musicians. A big thank you to all those who attended this benefit to help keep our beloved BARD at BEATTIE series free to the public. And of course, our deep appreciation goes to Ms. Upshaw, her students, and to Marshall Berland. A generous supporter of Bard's Vocal Arts Program, Marshall has been a true friend to Beattie, helping us to realize these wonderful events for the second year.
