Jazz takes center stage at Beattie, Saturday March 28

Tickets: $10

Our first-ever jazz event stars pianist Bruce Barth and bassist Sean Smith of Jazz one2one, PlanetArts' program devoted to presenting world-class musicians in intimate settings.

When we say "world class," it's no exaggeration. Internationally recognized as composers, recording artists, and teachers as well as extraordinary musicians,

Bruce Barth has performed with Branford and Wynton Marsalis, Art Farmer, the Mingus Big Band, Stanley Turrentine…the list goes on and on... including Tony Bennett, who said of him, "I have a great love for excellent musicians, and Bruce Barth is one of my favorites."

Sean Smith has performed with an equally long list of jazz greats, including Gerry Mulligan, Benny Carter, Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, and Bill Charlap. "The arrangements are cool, the ballads moody and gorgeous. Both sophisticated and emotional, intricate and uncluttered. It reveals richer artistry with each encounter," raved AllMusicGuide.

Join us for an unforgettable evening, but be sure to reserve at rhoveninc@gmail.com
